THE KEN ALLEN GATE

The Rev'd Lynda Mead recently conducted an unusual dedication at St Mary's when she led prayers at the newly installed Ken Allen gate beside the churchyard.
Prior to his death in 2005, Ken had been churchwarden at St Mary's for a number of years and he left a significant legacy for use on this type of project.
The gate and adjacent fencing at the church end of the pathway to South Baddesley School, was designed and made by New Forest blacksmith Colin Philips.
