In 2024, the organ at St. John's developed an electrical component fault, putting one of the keyboards out of action.
Having sought advice and explored various ways forward, the PCC agreed to carrying out refurbishment work and an appeal, jointly run with Boldre Church Trust, was launched in December 2024.
Since then, there has been a most fantastic response, with £28,691 (including Gift Aid) having been donated as at 19 February 2025. Our target for this work is £40,000 so donations are still very, very welcome - details are given below on how these can be made.
Gift Aid adds greatly to the fund and tax-paying donors are urged to complete a Boldre Church Trust Gift Aid form. Note: Gift Aid will not be recovered for the purposes of this appeal if you only gift-aid money to St John’s PCC.
All donations are being directed straight to the fund and will only be used for the organ appeal. We are hoping that work can be carried out in 2025.
